MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel currently benefit from a 20p but that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been satisfying with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of small organizations in Cornwall presently make money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this sort of market going it does require simply a bit of lift which is available in the kind of tax foregone."
Biodiesel is a mix of standard diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
