ES6 String.prototype.startsWith polyfill

A robust & optimized ES3-compatible polyfill for the String.prototype.startsWith method in ECMAScript 6.

Other polyfills for String.prototype.startsWith are available:

Installation

In a browser:

Via npm:

npm install string.prototype.startswith

Then, in Node.js:

require('string.prototype.startswith');

// On Windows and on Mac systems with default settings, case doesn’t matter,
// which allows you to do this instead:
require('String.prototype.startsWith');

Notes

Polyfills + test suites for String.prototype.endsWith and String.prototype.contains are available, too.
